When asked to inspect the apartment block originally, the Rainshield team found a building that needed urgent attention. The original material used was too lightweight and flimsily for the structure – creasing, bending and breaking if walked on. This caused severe water ingress issues, especially along the gutter line and near air-conditioning units.
The Rainshield team stripped the old roof, regraded the building’s fall and installed Colorbond Kliplock .48 profile sheets – a much heavier and durable material than the original.
We think the final product looks great and will stop anymore leaks occurring after gutter cleaning or heavy rain.
